While You Were Sleeping

Christmas is coming around! In our house the Christmas music is already playing.
Well, I have never *really* liked Casting Crowns (don't ask me why; I don't know).
But as I was listening to the music play on shuffle in our house, there was one song that I really liked.
Turns out it was by Casting Crowns.

It is the name of this post. If you haven't heard it, I made a little movie-thing to show you:
This is such an amazing song. I love it! And also it is a really good 'Christmas song'. :-) I could listen to it for HOURS.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This is by Casting Crowns

As you may know, I love the Packers. I live in WI, so it does make sense.
As  you may further know, they are 11-0. (For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, 11-0 means they have won 11 games and lost 0) (and also, the Packers are a Pro football team; the best, actually! Considering they won the Super Bowl last year, AND they are doing the best in our division.)
Well, anyway, this last game, Aaron Rodgers (Packers quarter back) won the Gobbling Gobbler trophy. That is the trophy for one of the players on the team that won the Thanksgiving game. We won the game, so the trophy went to Aaron Rodgers:

Here is Aaron Rodgers with the trophy he won.
Here are a few more pictures:

I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Christmas Party!

1.  Besides celebrating the birth of Christ, what is your favorite part of Christmas?
Oh, lots of things. The food, presents, decorating...

2.  What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
There is one thing I like above all the others-
We have this really special nativity scene. It's really pretty, and very realistic.
Every year my dad waits for us all to go to bed, then he hides all the pieces to it.
Since we don't know the day dad hides them, we will unexpectedly find them.
Mostly my dad hides them where we (are supposed) to do chores or other fun places.
The tradition has changed over the years as we all got older, but we still find them, and it's still a ton of fun.

But during the Christmas season we have to be careful where we sit, what we wear, and where we lay our heads! Why? Almost every year, my dad hides one or more in a coat, or in a pillow etc.

3.  What has been your favorite Christmas gift?
My first AG doll; Kit.

4.  Do you have a special Christmas tree ornament?
Yes!  It's not mine, but we have this adorable egg/chicken ornament, it is so cute! (picture below)

(not the best picture, I know)

5.  What is your favorite Christmas Carol?
Winter Wonderland (by Audrey Assad- I also like Carol of the Bells

6.  If you could be anyone in a Christmas nativity play who would you be?

7.  What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Hmmm, that's really hard. I'd guess I have to say 'The Nativity Story' It's not just for Christmas, though.

8.  Do you go caroling?  If so where do you like to go?

9.  What is your favorite Christmas decoration?
The Christmas tree. It's not Christmas without one!

10. The birth of Jesus brought a light into the world.  How can you bring some light in the world this Christmas season?
By singing and praising God.

Like the 'new'? **and some extremely boring updatezzzzz**

Hey, y'all!
Anyway, just wanted to make my blog a little more... Seasonal... XD Although, right now we have no snow on the ground. We had no white Thanksgiving like we usually do... :O It is actually really surprising for Wisconsin weather. :P
My backgrounds will probably change a lot around Christmas.

Ooh! Some more fun news is that I won NaNoWriMo, AND I finished my book! :-)

There are actually quite a few more to choose from... XD

So you have a wonderful day, and a very Merry Christmas! :)

Thankfulness on Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!! :-)
Yeah, I know it's kinda late, but hey! It's still Thanksgiving right now! ;-)

Anyway, here are eight things I'm thankful for (not really in any order, but God is first for a reason. ;) (sorry, Karalee, I know I took all of yours, they were all just so perfect! :D) :

  1. God- Without him I seriously would be nowhere. I would be lost without him like so many people in this world are. He brought us here. And without life, we wouldn't be here. So I am very, very thankful for God.
  2. Family- I love my family (and relatives). We don't always get along perfectly, but we get along well most of the time. ;-) I love them tons.
  3. Friends- weather I know them personally, or if I know them online, I love you, all of you! Thanks so much for giving me advice when it was needed, and encouraging words when I needed them.
  4. My followers- I am very thankful for every one of you! I love all the comments you give me. For faithfully reading my (boring) blog posts. You are so encouraging!
  5. My place in the World- I could be a lot worse off than I am. But I'm not. And that is something that I think everyone needs to be Thankful for, because pretty much everyone is better off than at least someone. So be Thankful for what you have. :-)
  6. My Education- Yeah, I know, it gets boring and annoying to do the same stuff over and over again. But some people don't even get an education! So I have that to be thankful for.
  7. My Talents- I know like all of my family members would say I have none. But I know I do, and that makes me happy. God gave them to me, and I love them.
  8. My Parents- I know I already said family, but I think my parents deserve their own point. They are encouraging (in their own ways) and they teach me what I should do right, and try to keep me on the right path when I'm going headlong in the wrong direction.
So there! You have eight things!
(not my pic!)

You always know that you are very blessed when you are creating your Christmas list and can only think of five things... XD

NaNoWriMo goal is REACHED!

I'm actually really surprised that I reached my goal this fast. It *was* only 7,000, but I have been extremely busy as of late... sooo...

  1. Well, my novel is actually quite far away from being done. But, I should be able to finish it by the time November is over I think... (I hope) there are quite a few stages it needs to go through:Finish it (that's always a goof place to start, right?)
  2. Let my sister edit it and edit in my sisters' edits.
  3. Let one of my friends edit it and put her edits in.
  4. Let my sister edit it *again* and put the edits to good use (i. e. edit them into my novel)
  5. Let my friend edit it and edit in her edits. (yeah, you get the story...)
  6. Keep doing steps 2-5 until there are no more edits.
  7. Do all the thanks, and dedication (if there is any)
  8. Name it. (this might be moved... I really need help with names, so if you have any ideas... it's about two friends who are having friendship problems and much more. If you read the summary and the excerpt: Then that will help you... :-) please give me some ideas!)
  9. Do anything else I need to do (lovely step, don't you think?)
  10. Get my free copies (I get five)
  11. Decide who the copies will go to. This is going to be a hard one... :P

Well, thank you for reading that boring checklist! :D
Please give me some ideas for names! :D

Thanks so much!

Some more stuff:
71 pages
7 chapters
7,000 words (7, 017 now)
(I just realized that all that stuff has a 7 in it... As the first thing... :D I guess '7' is my 'lucky number'! No, just kidding. ;) )
Here are a couple screen shots for you to look over and enjoy... XD (click to see them bigger)

'till next time,
P.S. Don't forget to vote for your favorite picture!

P.P.S. sorry about the lack of posts lately, I have been sooo busy + I had this NaNoWriMo thing, so you should be able to understand... ;)

When Fall Sends It's Snow

I love this one -- it's so pretty!

Unfortunately, snow has come, though it isn't quite sticking to the ground, it has come.
I mean, I like snow, and it is really gorgeous, but, it just lasts for so long, and you I get extremely tired of it, it's also not so fun when we play Frisbee. I much prefer playing Frisbee on (dry[ish]) grass.

The snowflakes were really big today. This is pretty much our 'first snow', although, it did snow yesterday (for about 3 minutes tops), I will consider this our first snow.

You know what? Snow is actually really depressing. At least for us, here in WI. Because it stays so long. Once it starts, you won't see grass for months, yes, months. I think that's why I really don't want it to snow.

But, if it started right before Christmas, and was going by February, I would be happy. But, it doesn't (stinky, right?) Because I love snow at Christmas.
If there isn't any snow at Christmas, it isn't 'Christmas' here.

So, I do like snow. But I don't like 'early' snow. (technically, it isn't early, but to me, it is.)
But, God gave it to us, so I will thank him for it. It is pretty...

So, since it was our first snow, I decided to take some pictures of it! :) (these are all taken from inside)
(I had a really difficult time watermarking them. :P I did all the watermarking, then I uploaded them, but I got the copies that weren't watermarked, so I uploaded them again, and again they weren't watermarked [I did upload the ones that were watermarked] then I decided, just skip all that, and upload them from the actual Picasa program on my laptop. I saved it as a draft, and here we are, finally!)

I really like how this one turned out (although, the first one will still be my favorite). But there isn't much snow... :(

Do you have snow yet? Do you ever get snow? What is your favorite picture?

This one is neat, I think.

I love this one! Can you find the watermark?

This one, too. Find the watermark!

Thanks so much for reading and looking at the pictures! Answer the questions, and if you answer them all comment PB&J, and I will give you a shout-out in my next post, (don't forget to give me the link to your blog so I can give the links in the post.)

You all have a fantastic day,

It just can't be done...

Have you ever had that time in your life where it just can't be done?
Well, I am having that lately. Today I had a History test AND a Science test. Plus a whole bunch of math to do with my mom. And somehow, I had to fit in two instrument practices, literature, writing and memorizing Psalm 2 (I had memorized all the verses, I just needed to put them together and say it to my mom).
Along with that, I needed to write more of my novel for NaNoWriMo.
haha, boy am I busy!

I did very well on my History test, and pretty well on my Science test (a's for both) and I am understanding my math much better. (yay me!)
I completed Psalm 2 in less than 10 minutes (wowzers!). And got in two good thorough practices.
Plus I wrote 602 words on my novel. And my sister edited 3 pages.

But there are some things that really just can't be done. Now, I won't name them so as to bore you, but I must admit, there are quite a few of those things that just can't be done.

So, here I sit with my Limeade-Strawberry (slushie) drink... (recipe: Really simple, REALLY yummy!)

Are you doing NaNoWriMo?

Here is a little excerpt from the novel I am writing:
(PLEASE NOTE: it is unedited and is very liable to change, and it belongs to ME; no stealing.)

After school that day I had started practicing. But that practicing went horribly. I was so frustrated. Nothing was going right. Nothing.
And Nicki chose the worst time ever to come.
I was practicing a really difficult passage right when she came up the drive. Boy, was that a hard passage. And every single note was wrong. Yep. Every single one. I was so frustrated. She walked through the door, and I was mad at her.

'till next time,
